Paul Cézanne

Paul Cézanne is often called the father of modern art. His systematic analysis of form, colour, and perspective, applied to still lifes, landscapes, and portraits over decades of work in Provence, laid the foundations for Cubism and fundamentally shaped 20th-century painting.
